About Me
Meet Tara
Founder of Readers in Bloom
As a mum, registered teacher and literacy specialist, I am passionate about helping children become confident readers, capable writers and curious learners.
Having several family members with dyslexia, I have seen firsthand the challenges it can bring to everyday life, as well as the incredible impact that the right support and early intervention can have.
During my time as a classroom teacher, I saw many children struggling with the skills needed for reading and writing. This, together with my family’s experiences with dyslexia, inspired me to explore the science of reading and gain a deeper understanding of how the brain learns to read.
In 2023, I completed training in Multisensory Structured Language (MSL) through the Institute for Multisensory Structured Language Education (IMSLE) and in 2024 became an accredited member of the Australian Dyslexia Association.
At Readers in Bloom, I provide high-quality, evidence-based literacy instruction that is explicit, multisensory, structured and tailored to each child’s individual needs.
Every lesson is thoughtfully designed to build foundational skills, celebrate progress and create opportunities for success. My goal is for every child to feel supported and capable as they develop the skills and confidence to read, write and flourish.
